Party Time

Here are some pics from Marley's Birthday Party yesterday. We had a great time and I think Marley enjoyed all of the attention!
This one was after Little Gym in the morning...she needed a little refreshment so Daddy gave her a lemon. With Fancy...this is priceless because Marley is making the "Nana Face"A shot of the Ladybug Sugar Cookies courtesy of Fancy and Aunt Sarah (and Wegman's)Marley's Birthday BannerThe cake table...minus the cake...yes that's a pinata...no it's not hanging...and yes I shook out the candy instead of having the kids hit it with a bat. In my defense, it was raining outside and there really wasn't any place inside to hang it. It had nothing to do with me wanting to keep it for a later date (why would I want to do that?) Don't you just love the little goodie boxes! They were a hit! We lucked out because we only had girls at the party, plus the boxes worked really well to store all the candy from the unbroken pinata :)Oh how I loved her cake! It was just perfect! Made by the one and only Kathy (aka Momma Lock) (aka The Cake Lady). It was darling and delicious. Thank you so much Kath! And Marley's own personal smash cake! While opening presents Marley had lots of help from Hayley and CarolineLooking at one of her new books with DaddyMarley got A LOT of books for her Birthday. It was what we told everyone who asked what to get. Miraculously she didn't get one book that she didn't already have! I was really, really impressed. Marley was really, really impressed with this particular Ladybug book because of the finger puppet. Thanks Erin and Justin!Marley drinking out of her new silver mug from Great Grandma Be-BeCake Time! I left her in her outfit while we sang...which also meant I kept pulling her fingers out of her cake while we sang...and then I striped her down to her onsie...being awfully proper...Oh well...so much for proper...gimme cake! That was good Mommy! Can I have more? No? Then I'm DONE!After Marley's party we hung out at the house for a bit and then the fam went for a Birthday Dinner at Sakura. The group pic was awesome but I haen't scanned it yet. Here is a pic of Marley with Daddy, Granny and PopAnd here they are singing to her for her birthday. They didn't believe us at first but they caved and brought her a piece of cheesecake which I think Granddad really enjoyed! Doesn't she look like she conducting while they're singing? It was a GREAT Day! Thanks to all who came to celebrate with us! The day wouldn't have been the same without you!
