UNBELIEVABLE!

This little cutie patootie didn't even make it into the top 25! Can you fathom? I've spent the day trying to figure it out because there were people across the country voting for her! Texas, Cali, Florida, Pennsylvania, NY...how many states does it take? Oh well, we'll try again next time!
This picture is from the shoot we did at Picture People. This is the actual picture that they entered in the contest...I think the others were better but I didn't get to pick...the photographer did...hopefully she knew what she was doing.
Thanks to all those out there who voted for Little Miss in the Baby Idol contest...we appreciate your efforts, better luck next time!

Too Cool

So Daddy fed Marley sweet potatos the other night. It started off really well...
She really seemed to be enjoying them...
Dinner ended like this...gee wiz daddy...maybe it had to do with you wiping cereal all over her face!
Marley also really loves the outside swing at daycare so we went and got her one and put it up on the back deck this morning. It was really sunny so she had to wear her shades...
She's just "too cool" chillin' in her swing.
It was much cooler and much less sunny when we got home from the movie this afternoon so daddy brought her back outside to enjoy more time in the swing.

She really loves it!
And yes, her shirt says Kellogg's Rice Krispies and has pictures of Snap, Crackle and Pop on it. We saw it the other day and had to get it for her 'cause it's her daddy's favorite cereal, but they didn't have it in her size.
Thanks Aunt Sarah! She picked it up for Marley this morning in another store :) It's a little big but that's great cause she'll get to wear it for a while! So, have you been voting? We find out tomorrow if Marley has made it into the top 25! Voting tomorrow ends at 8 AM before the new round starts, so make sure to get in that final vote! Check back tomorrow to see if she's made it to the next round!
www.wfls.com Baby Idol right now she's still number 32 but her number (hopefully) will change after tomorrow!
Thanks for all the help!

Baby Idol

So, we've once again entered Marley in a Photo Contest however, this one I think she has a FANTASTIC chance of winning but we need your help because it's YOU who determines the winner!

Yep, we need your votes so Marley can win Fredericksburg's Baby Idol. The contest consists of no more than 100 entries, all from the Fredericksburg area, 24 months and younger. And I realize that you have to become a "Country Club" member, and many of you don't live here, but the more we get the word out, especially if everyone uses there one per day vote allowance, we could win this people! Here are the contest rules:

Online voting will begin at Noon on August 24th. Online voting will end at 10AM on September 10th, 2009.

The 100 entries will be trimmed to the top 25 vote getters after votes tabulated at 8AM on August 31st, 2009. The top 25 will then each start at zero votes.

Those 25 entries will be trimmed to the top 10 vote getters after votes tabulated at 8AM on September 4th, 2009. The top 10 will then each start at zero votes.

Voting for the Top 10 will end at 10AM on September 10th, 2009. WFLS will contact the Top 3 vote getters. They will be invited to join the Station's morning show on Friday, September 11th, 2009, when the top vote getter is announced. *The top 3 finalists must provide birth certificates for proof of age for the children in their photos.

In the event of ties in any phase of the voting, Station will silently extend the voting deadline until the tie is broken.

Children will not be identified by name on the Station website. They will be identified only by number. That number may change with each phase of the voting.

Station encourages parents to mobilize voting from their friends, family, co-workers, etc, and to make them aware of their child's number.

The Top 3 vote getters will be identified by name at the announcement of the grand prize winner.

Voting Criteria: Any person wishing to cast a vote for one of the online pictures MUST first become a member of the WFLS Country Club. Registration is available at wfls.com. No purchase necessary.

Club members may vote only once per 24 hour period.

If an entrant receives an irregular voting pattern or multiple votes from the same user on the same day, including but not limited to votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, or any automated means or source, the Station reserves the right to disqualify the entrant at its sole discretion.

So essentially it's a popularity vote. Brett, Sarah and I are all spreading the word...won't you join us?

I'm mean look at this face...

She's got to be the cutest baby in Fredericksburg right?

How 'Bout Them...

COWBOYS??!!
We found Marley a Dallas cheerleading outfit today... Too bad it isn't really meant for her...Yes, that's right, my baby can wear her Build-A-Bear bunny's clothes... We figured that it was as good a chance as any to get some family football pics...
But Daddy felt like Marley was showing too much skin...
So we put the cheerleading outfit back on a "Bunny Named Bob" and put Marley in her Dallas onsie courtesy of Uncle Mike and Aunt Chris (she'll be sleeping in it tonight)Daddy got a pic so we figured Mommy should get one too...Looking forward to a GREAT season!

The New Face of Picture People?

Sorry we've been AWOL but this little gem...
is battling...

her very first ear infection... We haven't seen much of this happy face the last couple of days but that doesn't mean I can't show it to you! These were the portraits that were taken when we entered Marley in the "New Face of Picture People" contest. We think she could win (but we're biased)...Any thoughts from the audience?

It's Marley's 5 Month-Day

I know...can you believe it? I sure can't believe that 5 months has already come and gone. She's growing up so fast I can hardly stand it. And now, the summer is over and it's back to work for the mommy.

So what's going on in Marley's life at 5 months? Well she's officially started daycare...

She has been enjoying rice cereal and a variety of yummy vegetables including green beans, peas, and yellow squash. Up next, zucchini, sweet potatos and carrots...

She's sitting up more and more independently with every passing day...

She has the most expressive face...

And she's just plain happy! We love watching her smile, and giggle. Although sometimes we have to pull the giggles out and other times it sounds like a fake cough (paired with a big smile of course).

She's already a Texas Fan!

She wants to stand and move

She is very cuddly...with her Cheetah and her Taggie

She loves to sleep with a blanket over her face

and on her Mommy's shoulder

She loves hangin out with her daddy

and her Aunt Sarah

and her puppies

(this is an old one with Rosie...I can't find the new one)Oh and this video is great (the quality isn't but what can I say? It's from my phone). After she finished eating last night she started banging on the tray of her high chair and she continued to do it mimicking mommy...it was hilarious!

I Could Just Eat Her With A Spoon

Couldn't you?

Don't forget to scroll down and see the Mega Picture Post!

So Many Pictures...

...It took me 2 days to finish this post. We've had a lot going on around these parts! Brett's mom and grandma just left yesterday after a week long visit with Little Miss and the rest of the fam. We had a great visit...I'm just gonna get straight to the pics...

Little Miss waking up from a nap...she's usually very happy after a good sleep
Marley, Daddy and JasperMarley and Granny...Marley spit up in Granny's hair right after this picture was taken :) Marley and her GiGi...I'm thinkin' Marley was enjoying all the attentionMarley, GiGi and GrannyMarley and Mommy...not the best picture of Little Miss but we don't have many of the two of us so I thought I'd post it anywayDaddy feeding Marley a bottle...she loves spending quality time with Daddy Marley fell asleep in Granny's lap with her lip sticking outHere's a close-up of her face...too cute huh?!Granny got Marley a music table to practice standing and toddling when she's a little bit bigger. We went ahead and put it together anyway though to make sure all the pieces were there and it really kept Marley's attention for quite sometime. Thanks Granny and Pop!Hangin out and playin with GiGiMMMM...she loves watermelon! This past week also started our adventure into solid foods...We started her with rice cereal. No Marley, you aren't supposed to eat the bib...
"You want me to eat this instead? I think I liked the bib better...""Just kidding, gimme more of that yummy goodness!"(Fast forward a couple of days) Now let's try some peas..."Mommy, I'm thinkin' you're nuts...do you eat peas?""I'm not so sure about this...""Okay, yeah daddy, I like peas" (She was smiling at Brett in this picture because he was making all sorts of yummy noises)Happy Baby with a full belly of peas and rice cereal!Playin' with Daddy in the LoveSacSo we went and got a couple of new rugs, one so that we could put it down on the wood floor for Marley. She now has a little space complete with a blanket for tummy time, with her ExerSaucer, Bumbo, Bouncer, Music Table and all of her other toys. Here are a few classic shots from play time the other day.
Playtime (although this was in her bedroom)
Happy Baby!
So you may or may not know that we are a paci household because I have a 7 year old student who still sucks his thumb and I really am fearful of having a little one go off to school still sucking her thumb. I may, at times, be a little anal about the whole sucking the thumb thing because ultimately I know if she's meant to be a thumb sucker she will be, but for the time being if she starts sucking on her thumb or fingers (I don't so much care when she's chewing because that's important for oral development) I pull them out of her mouth and give her the paci. So this was funny the other day because she was watching me very closely as she put her baby's fingers in her mouth to suck. It was if she was saying "Well, they aren't mine..."
A little tummy time anyone? The drool is classic MarleySo during playtime on this particular day, after about 10 min. in the ExerSaucer, she started fussin'. I went over to check it out because she usually lasts much longer than that and this is what I saw. My little angel had gotten her arm stuck in her overalls...Workin' on gettin' it out...I'm FREE...no thanks to you mom...yes, it is true...I took pictures of the problem solving process instead of helping my child free her armWaking up from yet another good nap...we're really making progress in this area people! Tell me...could you refuse this face?Or these big, beautiful, blue eyes?Another couple Mommy, Marley shotsOne of her last naps in the cradle Great Grandpa Endicott made for all his grandbabies and great-grandbabies. Granny and GiGi took it with them back to Texas so they would have it when cousin Jaelynn arrives (and so mommy and daddy didn't have to have it shipped)Four Generations (I love this pic because it's almost like she's doing a curtsy)Mommy, Daddy and Marley...we hadn't taken a "family" pic since the one we took for the header so we were due..pretty good...at least she's smiling!

So those have been the goings on around here...told in pictures anyway. This is my last week of all Little Miss all day as she starts daycare on Monday. We are starting the week before I officially go back to work so she has some time to get acclimated. So, we're starting Monday and going 4 1/2 days and 1 full day on Friday. It seems like just yesterday I was there filling out the paperwork and talking about her start date in August. Time really does fly. It makes me sad to think that I won't be with her all day long anymore but I really do love where she's going to be going for daycare so that's some comfort.

Keep an eye out for a new food later on this week...I think we might give green beans a try. I get to make what ever I want because of the AWESOME baby food maker Fancy got for us! Thanks so much Fancy! It really makes making her food easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Oh, and for those skeptics out there who seem to think the photo of Pop in the previous post was photoshopped, no worries...it's real (and yes he is sleeping)! :)
