The Cutest Witch (who did not want to be photographed)

This Little Witch...With her hair all askew...Only wanted to be held this morning...So the best shot we got was in Mommy's lap. She only kept the costume on for about an hour and a half at daycare today, in her defense she pooped through her turtleneck, but hopefully it will be different for Saturday. At least so we can get to the neighbors'...

Suspense

I know I have been keeping you all in suspense over Halloween outfit #5 but alas, I could not (and still can not) reveal it just yet. It's her Halloween costume sillies and it will be making it's debut tomorrow for dress-up day at daycare :)

I will post pics tomorrow...there's been a lot of drama and not a whole lot of picture taking going on around here (unless you count the pictures taken of the 4 ft. by 4 ft. hole in our ceiling, but more on that another day)...

Stay tuned to see the frightening WITCH tomorrow...

100 POSTS!! And Halloween Outfit Number 4

Good Morning Everyone!

Can you believe it? Had I not been a blogging fiend this month it probably wouldn't have been until January that I hit 100 posts but because I have become a "professional" blogger (at least for the month of October) today is the day!

I know that all you really want to see is the pictures so here they are...
"Mommy, do you really think people want to see me eating?"

"Yes, yes, we all know I can hold my bottle"

"The flash, mommy, the flash!"

"NO MORE EARLY MORNING PICTURES!"

"What did I just tell you?"

"Alright fine, but this is the best you're going to get"

"I told you, just the one"

"I'm leaving"

"Alright, I suppose you can take one more since I have control of the remote"

I'm thinking I do need to stop taking her picture first thing in the morning...any thoughts?

As Promised

I'm going to keep this short and sweet because I have a headache and want to go to bed. But, I did promise that I would post pictures of Marley in the sweet outfit Aunt Chris sent, down from New York, the day she wore it. So, as promised...

"Mommy it is early in the morning, why are you taking my picture?""No, I'm serious Mommy, Stop!" (I was told by someone I work with today that I make this face...) A new "babywearing" technique...in Daddy's sweatshirtLookin a little rough...She must've played hard at daycare today Mommy and Marley cuddling outside That's all for now, I'm going to bed. But I've been a blogging machine so there may be more to come tomorrow...

Bows and A Promised Video

So here are the ones I just made to match tomorrow's outfit. This outfit is the one Aunt Chris sent down from NY! It's just too cute and I think the bows will go well. Here are the ones for Wednesday's outfit Thursday she will be wearing (GASP!) store bought bows that go with her shirt, both from our favorite store Gymboree (don't you think they should pay me for free advertising? then again, if they paid me I suppose it wouldn't be free).
She isn't going to wear a Halloween outfit this Friday because that's the day of doctor's appointments but also because I only have 4. Next Friday she gets to wear her witch costume to "school."

Ok, so I tried to upload a video before this one, the same one I tried the other day, and it's still not loading. Sorry, must be something corrupt. I've waited long enough and now I need to go to bed. I'll try to get the same thing on video a second time and then post it. BUT, I was able to upload this video of my little giggle box!

Don't forget to read the previous "Not Me! Monday" post...

Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week

I did not secretly hope that Marley's Fancy would not be able to come up on Friday, when we found out daycare would be closed because of Swine Flu, just so I would have a reason to take off of work and spend the day with my precious gem. I also didn't take my time leaving the house Friday morning after Fancy got here just because I had told everyone that I would likely be late since she was driving an hour and a half.

I also did not sit on pins and needles this weekend wondering whether or not Marley was going to come down with the swine flu because the little girl that had it is not one that plays with Marley, oh no, not at all.

I also did not spend the weekend sitting on the couch with said precious gem and my handsome hubby watching football while he cooked, not when I could have been doing laundry, I would never. And I most certainly did not take my 7 month old to the movies on Sunday and proceed to laugh hysterically when she growled back at the "Wild Things" on the screen.

I'm sure I most certainly did not stay up late last night, well past the time I should have gone to bed, making Marley hair bows to match her first Halloween outfit. Of which I am most certainly not going to have her wear on Monday of next week too. I then did not go out after picking her up from daycare today to Michael's to buy MORE ribbon so I could make yet another set of bows for her second and then her third Halloween outfits. Of which she most certainly will not be wearing tomorrow and Wednesday and next Tuesday and Wednesday. I would never do such a thing and I am most certainly not that obssessive about my daughters hair accessories.

And I'm sure I didn't take Marley's picture this morning well before she was really awake just so I could take a picture of the hair bows I didn't make that match said first Halloween outfit. And since I didn't, I most certainly won't post this picture.

Oh, and I DID NOT, I repeat, DID NOT, pretend to be a stealth warrior at school today and peg my students with little rubber balls from behind a wall. It did not make them laugh so hard I'm sure they peed their pants and we did NOT spend a half hour of our day playing this "sensory" game. Oh, no, not me. And I'm sure I did not try to rope the occupational therapist into participating in the same game. Speaking of OT, I'm sure I did NOT get on the floor, on my stomach, today to "race" my students blowing golf balls with straws across the floor. There is no way I'm that competitive, no, not me. And I'm sure that none of this had anything to do with the fact that before the stealth warrior game I did not consume 2 (maybe 3) Mountain Dews.

That's a little bit about what I haven't been up to...How about you?

My First Korker Bows

So I started making bows for Marley a while ago but this is the first time I attempted (and was somewhat successful) at making the "Korker Bows." Through this trial I have found that it is a bit time consuming because you have to "bake" the ribbon for 25 min. and some ribbon "bakes" better than others. BUT, I will definitely be making more! (I just need to make a trip to Michael's first)
These are to match one of her Halloween outfits. She's going to wear them this week and next week...and who knows...maybe the week after...And just so you don't go through withdrawl...here is Marley hangin out on Saturday morning with her Rosie. Rosie is extremely taken with Marley and has started acting as a body guard. She lets Marley pull on her ears (as below), yank on her collar and lay all over her. She makes a pretty good pillow and she really makes Marley laugh when she's sniffing around her ears, neck and toes. It also makes Marley giggle when Rosie licks her feet but we try not to let that happen that often...I think this one's cute too...it's as if she's checking to make sure Rosie is okay with her pulling on her ears.Anyhow, I know I've promised you all a video and it is on it's way I promise...in the meantime I think I'll go make some more bows...Any orders (Em)?

Guess Who Has A Tooth??!!

MARLEY DOES!
Her first tooth poked itself through sometime today. Yesterday I noticed she had a little hole in her gum and then today...OUCH! She bit me and there was something sharp. So it's made its way through but not enough yet for any pictures. Plus, she happens to be very protective of her pearly white...anytime you try to look at it she sticks her tounge over top but for those of you who are curious...it's bottom left.
I guess we have our answer as to why Little Miss has been SO cranky and restless at night and hasn't wanted to eat the last two weeks. I suppose it may not get any better any time soon because we all know once the first makes it's appearance the second is not far behind then the third and fourth...
Happy First-Tooth Day my love!
At 6 months and 4 weeks (she'll be 7 months on Tuesday) your first little tooth popped through!

Longhorn Christmas Diva

So there is no rhyme or reason to that post title except...
...Here's Marley cheering on her Longhorns who are currently playing Colorado... ...Here is a snap shot of the matching Christmas jammies I got for Marley, Kaley(Kaley's are 2 piece but the same print) and new baby cousin Jaelynn... ...and the dress that I got for all three... ...with the little half sweater. Marley's is black and the Vasel girls get red. It'll be an ABA pattern if we put them in age order... ...and here's the little diva in the purple feather boa that Fancy brought back from New York. Unfortunately I don't think it's going to last too long because Marley's favorite thing to do is pull off the feathers but she does like posing in it...Aunt Chris also sent the most darling OshKosh outift for Marley's first Halloween...pictures of that to come soon!
HOOK 'EM!

Meet Jaelynn

SHE HAS ARRIVED!

Little Miss Jaelynn was welcomed into the world today, October 9, 2009, at 2:33 PM weighing in at 7 pounds 2 oz.

Congratulations Emily, John and Kaley!

All of our love goes out to you on this very special day!

Love, Uncle Brett, Aunt Bethany

and Cousin Marley

Update

I just got of the phone with Em. How funny, only what, 5 min after I last posted. Anyway, she took a little snooze and when she woke up whe was an 8 so Little Miss Jaelynn will be joining us today! Not much longer...I'll keep you posted.

The Waiting Game

Here's the story as I understand it...

Em went in, as planned, early this morning to have her water broken. They came back to check her an hour later and nothing had changed so they started the drip. When I spoke to Chris (my mother-in-law) about an hour ago, Em was dialated to a 4 and had just had her epidural.

So, we're just waiting to see when Little Miss Jaelynn will join this big, wide world and make it an even more special place to be.

Please pray for Emily, John, Kaley and the rest of the Mazurek/Vasel Fams, that all continues to go well and Jaelynn arrives healthy!

I can't wait to be an Auntie x3!

Would You Like To Know...

...what happens you blow raspberries while you're eating?
You get carrots up your nose and on your eyelashes... ...then when you look down...
...they drop to your cheek and form a HUGE blob...
I'm SO glad she learned that trick at daycare!
(I'm assuming, because we didn't teach it to her at home)

Marley and Her Puppies

Just a few more pics to get you through your day! Enjoy :)

Her favorite outdoor activity!

Daddy and Marley hung out together on Monday night while Mommy was at a meeting. This was Marley when I got home...That must've been some hard playing with Daddy!
