Some Pics and a Video

So as promised from my previous post, here are some pics from the last couple of weeks. We went down to the beach for the Labor Day weekend and Marley met her Uncle Christian, Aunt Natalie and Cousin Evan for the first time. That was also the first time she had her new favorite snack, Gerber Puffs!
But before we get into those pictures...

Have you missed these two?
They're as cute as ever!Enjoying another favorite morning treat, biter biscuits. Think Marley looks like Cousin Kaley in this pic? I see a strong resemblance.Playtime for Marley and Evan. This was the first time the cousins met. They played pretty well together!"Huh? What'd you say?"So I have a couple of these shots with Marley and her Daddy. Some they both didn't look so hot, one Daddy looked great but not so much Marley and in this one Marley looked great but Daddy isn't even looking at the camera. I figured since it's Marley's blog I'll put the one of her looking good. Now, all I need to figure out with photo shop is how to swap Daddy's head (or Marley's which might be easier) with the one where he's smiling at the camera so we can get them both lookin' good!Happy, happy girl :)All ready for the beach! I LOVE this pic, her eyes look fantastic, she just looks like a little doll. And then this is what she did at the beach...but this was the beginning of the 2nd ear infection and the wind was really bothering her too so we didn't stay down at the beach long after she woke up.Some Marley, Daddy time. They look like they're deep in thought don't they?Ready for a night out at dinner. I love this outfit. I had to have the sweater for her because it's something that I would totally wear, with the hood and everything, and Aunt Sarah had the idea of putting it over black leggings. Just the cutest little outfit. It does however, make her look much older than her months...

...Especially when she's being a big girl sitting up at the dinner table enjoying a lemon

This is another one of those shots where Marley really resembles her cousin Kaley

Just loungin' around on the couch one evening waiting for daddy to come home.

"MMMMM, get in my belly!"

"AHHHH! I dropped a puff!"

She really is happy in her high chair...I think she looks older than 6 months in this picture.

This is from just this morning getting ready to go to the local Farmer's Market. It was a little chilly so she has her cool brown hat on. Her shirt says "Cute as a Button" and we had many passerbyers who said that she sure was cute as a button.

Here's a video of Marley finger feeding herself those oh-so famous puffs. I swear to you the kid could eat them all day long, and even though it doesn't happen in this video, if she drops one in her lap you better believe she tries with all her might to retrieve her fallen puff!

I also did some family photos over the Labor Day weekend so check back later for those.

6 Months

WOW! Marley is 6 months old already. Can you believe it?? Time sure does fly. At the request of Auntie Em, I've chosen a picture from each month (as close to her "monthday" as I could get).
Brand New Baby
Born on Friday, March 13, 2009
Weighed 8 lbs, 7 oz and was 21 inches long One Month
9lbs, 15 oz. and 23 inches long
We spent Marley's One-Monthday at the beach in the Outer Banks with Fancy. We were there for what would've been my spring break had I been working :) At one month Marley had also met her Granny, Pop, Uncle Lee and "Aunt" Amy. 2 Months
11lbs, 15 oz. 23.5 inches long
At 2 months Marley had another slew of visitors. We were lucky that Uncle Lee was living nearby at the time and we were able to see him a lot. We also went to the beach with Uncle Lee and his friend Ashley who flew in to go with us! We had a great time. One of Daddy's good friends, Colin came to visit because he was in the area for work (I think he was in New Jersey does that count as "in the area"? I suppose it does when you're usually out at sea). This was also around the time that Mommy went back to work (oh, so sad) so Marley got to spend a lot of time with her family. Fancy came to watch Marley for a week, Great Aunt Chris came down from New York to meet Marley for the first time and to play with her for a week and we were also blessed to have Auntie Em, Uncle John and cousin Kaley come to play for a week! It was so much fun dressing the girls alike everyday! We can't wait to see them again at Christmas with their (soon to be) new addition, cousin Jaelynn. Daddy's good friend Jared and his wife Allison welcomed their little boy Rhys, Marley started rolling over and at 2 months, Marley's pigtails made an appearance for the first time! 3 Months
We don't know how big she was a this time because she didn't have a doctor's appointment :)
At three months Mommy was finishing up school. Marley spent the last two weeks before summer vacation with her Fancy. They had a lot of fun! Did you know that if Marley is crying and I put Fancy on speaker phone she usually stops! Oh the power of a Fancy! This was the magical age in which Marley found the power of her voice. She would talk and talk and talk for minutes on end. We put together her Exersaucer because she needed something more than just Mommy, Daddy and her puppies to entertain her. She found her toes and stuck them in her mouth almost instantly, an activity that she continues to enjoy to this day, and she became very interested in the television! She still sits and watches her Baby Einstein videos and the "Your Baby Can Read" videos and she LOVES Anthony DeNozo (sp?) on NCIS. She started going to the Kid's Club at the gym and was often referred to as "the best kid," which we all know is not always the way my little gem is described, and she started bearing weight and "dancing" when we held her up in a standing position.
4 Months
14lbs, 7 oz. 25.5 inches long
Month 4 was a big one for the little girl. Fully into our summer Marley took her first plane ride to Indiannapolis (which was actually right before she was 4 months old) to meet "Aunt" Erin who was there for work. Work being USA Swimming Nationals and World Championship Trials. During that trip Marley got to watch Olympian Ryan Lochte swim the 400 IM. After Indy was a trip to Florida to visit Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Lindberg. They had a pool in their backyard that ran about 90 degrees so I took advantage of the warm water and put Marley in the pool for the first time. She let me dunk her head twice before screaming the third time. Around this time was also when we ventured into solid foods of which now she eats, peaches, pears, applesauce, bananas (but only store bought not homemade like everything else), peas, green beans, yellow squash, zuchinni, carrots and sweat potatos. At the end of the month Granny came to visit for the first time since Marley was a week old and she brought GiGi with her! It was such a fun week, even though GiGi broke her foot, don't feel too bad for her though, she got A LOT of special treatment on their trip to NY because of it :) Oh yea, Marley also went to her first rock concert at 4 months old and her first country concert a couple weeks later.
5 Months
No doctor's appointment=no measurements...sorry :)
Five Months had Mommy going back to school and Marley officially starting daycare at "Bethany's Bunny Bunch." Yes, that's right, Marley is in the care of a Bethany all day long. How funny is that? I think it still weirds both of us out when we call and say "Hey Bethany, it's Bethany." We entered Marley in the "New Face of Picture People" contest (we haven't heard yet but I'm not holding my breath) and the Fredericksburg Baby Idol contest hosted by the local country music station. She was by far the cutest baby entered in the contest (and I'm not just saying that, everyone who voted for her said that) but we all know how Idol contests work out and we just didn't spread the word well enough for Marley to even make it to the top 25. Oh well, thanks to everyone who did vote! Marley, at 5 months, found out about toys. I think being at daycare had a little to do with it. She now has an extensive toy collection including a duck, pig, and cow that teach her letters, numbers, colors and shapes, a basketball hoop, a music table (that she adores), and a pink, monster truck among many other little toys. She also started sitting up independently (which she had been doing for short periods of time at 4 months) for extended periods of time and pulled herself to a stand one afternoon while playing on her activity mat (she hasn't yet done that again independently). And we found out she loves to swing so of course, Mommy went to Toys R Us and bought her one like the one at daycare that is now hanging on the back deck for her enjoyment whenever she pleases. Marley also took another trip to the beach and met her Uncle Christian, Aunt Natalie and cousin Evan for the first time. Evan Marley played very well together, pictures of that to come at a later date. Gimme a break people, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things :) Five months also brought on our first ear infection followed shortly by our 2nd only 3 weeks later. 6 Months
Now at 6 months old our little girl continues to bring us endless joy! She has always been very attentive to her surroundings but now she's so much more interactive. She laughs and plays, anticipates games , sits up like a champ, but still refuses to stay on her tummy long enough to roll around. She gets bored quickly and likes to move from activity to activity, one not lasting much longer than 20 minutes at a time and she wants to be held, but held her way and if it isn't the right way she wiggles until she gets into the position she wants. Marley is a big fan of biter biscuits and especially Gerber Puffs. She could eat those things all day and what's even better is that she can feed them to herself so all I have to do is put them on the tray for her to pick up. Everywhere we go we have at least one person comments on Marley, her eyes or her pigtails. I kid you not we've been known to have people follow us around the store trying to make her smile and laugh. Her personality is contagious, people just love being around her, especially her Mommy and Daddy! Coming up we have our 6 month check-up, although we've been at the doctor's office a lot lately for those pesky ears...
What will she do next?
