Chores?

Yes, it is true, Marley's daddy has always said one of the best reasons to have kids is so they can do your chores when they get bigger. He's wasting no time on this one...And one other gorgeous shot from the day...

Potty Training?!

No, I'm not really trying to potty train Marley. Not really...but she is showing signs she might be ready like squatting to poop, hiding when she poops and bringing me a diaper when she needs to be changed so to start practicing I do put her on the potty before she gets in the bath and she always pees. It all started when she pooped in the bathtub for the first time. I had put her on the potty that night and said "Marley pee pee in the potty" and she did. I guess I should have also said to poo poo in the potty because she did that in the bathtub instead. So here she is going pee pee on the potty last night before she got in her bath.

And here she is on the potty in the middle of her bath, hence the soapy hair. She kept standing up, grabbing her stomach and grunting so I asked her if she had to go poo poo. She said 'yeah' so I figured what the heck. No production but it was really comical. I told her to push and grunt and she pushed and yelled. This has really been fun!!
And here is a video for Movie Monday. Marley showing you the noise you're supposed to make when you go poo poo in the potty. ENJOY!

I've pondered getting her a little toilet but we've decided to wait until we move. Just so she can have a place to sit when she comes into the bathroom with mommy...who knows...maybe by the time she's 18 months she'll be potty trained...

And if anyone knows how to make it so my writing stops underlining like a link let me know.

Adventure Island

As previously mentioned Marley spent the weekend at Aunt Chris and Uncle Mikes while we went to Matt and Margaret's wedding on Saturday. Here are so pics from her day of fun on Saturday! (and I'd like to point out in case you didn't notice, she wore 3 different outfits that day)
Just hangin' out with Niles
Eating a big lunch! She ate more for them than she EVER eats for me. So much in fact they just assumed she was full and stopped feeding her because she would've kept going.

Outfit 2: She had to change outfits after lunch...she got a little messy

They put her to work doing manual labor. She helped Uncle Mike wash not just one but two cars!

But I think she was more interested in the hoseAfter all that manual labor she needed to cool off...so she went for a dip with James? Jack? Yes, I think it's James, in the pool down the streetUncle Mike started to hone her golfing skills in preparation for that college scholarship 18 years or so from now. Then Sunday morning Marley and Aunt Chris went on a trip to the grocery store to get stuff for lunch.
Just waitin' for mommy and daddy to get backPremium photo op with Aunt Chris
We got there around lunch time, had a great lunch and then started the long trekk back home.

Thanks so much Aunt Chris and Uncle Mike...I know that she had a blast and can't wait for further adventures on "The Island!"

Matt and Margaret's Wedding

This weekend we trekked up to Connecticut via Long Island, New York for my cousin Matt's wedding. Marley stayed with my Aunt Chris and Uncle Mike in New York while we went on to the wedding. More pictures to come later but I thought I'd share these of the happy couple.
Congratulations Matt and Margaret!
