...It took me 2 days to finish this post. We've had a lot going on around these parts! Brett's mom and grandma just left yesterday after a week long visit with Little Miss and the rest of the fam. We had a great visit...I'm just gonna get straight to the pics...
Little Miss waking up from a nap...she's usually very happy after a good sleep
Marley, Daddy and Jasper
Marley and Granny...Marley spit up in Granny's hair right after this picture was taken :)
Marley and her GiGi...I'm thinkin' Marley was enjoying all the attention
Marley, GiGi and Granny
Marley and Mommy...not the best picture of Little Miss but we don't have many of the two of us so I thought I'd post it anyway
Daddy feeding Marley a bottle...she loves spending quality time with Daddy
Marley fell asleep in Granny's lap with her lip sticking out
Here's a close-up of her face...too cute huh?!
Granny got Marley a music table to practice standing and toddling when she's a little bit bigger. We went ahead and put it together anyway though to make sure all the pieces were there and it really kept Marley's attention for quite sometime. Thanks Granny and Pop!
Hangin out and playin with GiGi
MMMM...she loves watermelon!
This past week also started our adventure into solid foods...We started her with rice cereal. No Marley, you aren't supposed to eat the bib...
"You want me to eat this instead? I think I liked the bib better..."
"Just kidding, gimme more of that yummy goodness!"
(Fast forward a couple of days) Now let's try some peas..."Mommy, I'm thinkin' you're nuts...do you eat peas?"
"I'm not so sure about this..."
"Okay, yeah daddy, I like peas" (She was smiling at Brett in this picture because he was making all sorts of yummy noises)
Happy Baby with a full belly of peas and rice cereal!
Playin' with Daddy in the LoveSac
So we went and got a couple of new rugs, one so that we could put it down on the wood floor for Marley. She now has a little space complete with a blanket for tummy time, with her ExerSaucer, Bumbo, Bouncer, Music Table and all of her other toys. Here are a few classic shots from play time the other day.
Playtime (although this was in her bedroom)
Happy Baby!
So you may or may not know that we are a paci household because I have a 7 year old student who still sucks his thumb and I really am fearful of having a little one go off to school still sucking her thumb. I may, at times, be a
little anal about the whole sucking the thumb thing because ultimately I know if she's meant to be a thumb sucker she will be, but for the time being if she starts sucking on her thumb or fingers (I don't so much care when she's chewing because that's important for oral development) I pull them out of her mouth and give her the paci. So this was funny the other day because she was watching me very closely as she put her baby's fingers in her mouth to suck. It was if she was saying "Well, they aren't mine..."
A little tummy time anyone?
The drool is classic Marley
So during playtime on this particular day, after about 10 min. in the ExerSaucer, she started fussin'. I went over to check it out because she usually lasts much longer than that and this is what I saw. My little angel had gotten her arm stuck in her overalls...
Workin' on gettin' it out...
I'm FREE...no thanks to you mom...yes, it is true...I took pictures of the problem solving process instead of helping my child free her arm
Waking up from yet another good nap...we're really making progress in this area people!
Tell me...could you refuse this face?
Or these big, beautiful, blue eyes?
Another couple Mommy, Marley shots
One of her last naps in the cradle Great Grandpa Endicott made for all his grandbabies and great-grandbabies. Granny and GiGi took it with them back to Texas so they would have it when cousin Jaelynn arrives (and so mommy and daddy didn't have to have it shipped)
Four Generations (I love this pic because it's almost like she's doing a curtsy)
Mommy, Daddy and Marley...we hadn't taken a "family" pic since the one we took for the header so we were due..pretty good...at least she's smiling!
So those have been the goings on around here...told in pictures anyway. This is my last week of all Little Miss all day as she starts daycare on Monday. We are starting the week before I officially go back to work so she has some time to get acclimated. So, we're starting Monday and going 4 1/2 days and 1 full day on Friday. It seems like just yesterday I was there filling out the paperwork and talking about her start date in August. Time really does fly. It makes me sad to think that I won't be with her all day long anymore but I really do love where she's going to be going for daycare so that's some comfort.
Keep an eye out for a new food later on this week...I think we might give green beans a try. I get to make what ever I want because of the AWESOME baby food maker Fancy got for us! Thanks so much Fancy! It really makes making her food easy peasy lemon squeezy!
Oh, and for those skeptics out there who seem to think the photo of Pop in the previous post was photoshopped, no worries...it's real (and yes he is sleeping)! :)

I am behind on my commenting but I have been checking your blog! I love, love, love all the pictures! I don't think little miss can get any cuter but every time I see her she does! The 4 generation picture is great! We have one on the stairs just like that! I need a copy! Can't wait till Christmas!
