A Little of This and A Little of That

So not a whole lot new to report. Marley is 3 weeks old (which means I'm only 5 weeks away from going back to work...oh so sad). Marley and I have gotten into a great routine at home over the last week...although it's one that I'm going to have to adjust once it is time to go back to work...thankfully I don't have to worry about that for a little while longer. We pretty much don't leave upstairs until around noon. Prior to that we're snoozin' or I'm trying to squeeze in a shower while she's snoozin'. Then we have some tummy time.
After that we run any errands that we may have, although this isn't very frequent, and otherwise just hang out watching a bit of TV or a movie. Occasionally I may try to get some picking up done around the house while she naps but usually I end up crashing myself...which is what everyone keeps telling me to do :)
Thought I would post a few new pics...ENJOY!
This is one of my favorite outfits that I got for Little Miss right before she was born. Unfortunately (well really fortunately) she continues to grow and she won't be able to wear it much longer so I had to make sure I got a picture...PLUS...just check out that hair!
Perfectly content after a diaper change...or was it before? I don't recall...

Snoozin' with her puppy
My first tummy time told in pictures...
"Okay, this isn't so bad...""I think I'm gonna try to lift my head..."
"Nah...I'd rather sleep!" I just thought this one was cute...It's like she's saying "Oh my, how did I get here? When I fell asleep someone was holding me...I think I might cry..."So everyday when Brett gets home from work Marley gets some Daddy time. This is usually how it goes...Check out the shoes...they're real leather (from Target mind you)!!Just another cute outfit that I thought I'd grab a shot of...though she should be in this one for a little while...it is a 0-3
So in addition to tummy time on the floor we've been working on her picking up her head in various other positions as well. She was sitting in my lap and started picking her head up so I thought I'd try to get it on video. I know it looks a lot like she may be flopping her head forward but rest assured, I had complete control of the situtation. Not the most exciting video but one to share none the less.

While there may not have been much exciting happening lately we do have some exciting things coming up! I might venture down to Williamsburg with Marley for the night tomorrow...there's a little something we may do with Fancy/GrandNan (by the way...no one voted on what she should be called...help us out here people...) on Tuesday afternoon but we aren't sure yet. We'll definitely keep you posted because I'm sure there will be quite a few fabulous photo ops if it happens. Then on Thursday Marley's Aunt Amy is flying in from San Antonio for a visit. (You might be thinking "no one has a sister named Amy" Well, Marley has quite a few "Aunts" that TECHNICALLY aren't Aunts...Amy and Erin to name two...so rest assured...you aren't going crazy) And Uncle Lee will be coming down for a couple of days while Aunt Amy is here. Then Easter Sunday we are headed to brunch with GrandDad, Fancy/GrandNan, Aunt Sarah, and Aunt Amy (and of course Daddy). AND THEN...Marley and I are going to ride back to Williamsburg with my parents so that my mom and I can leave for the beach on Monday (for Spring Break). AND THEN...Pop comes to town for a visit! All very exciting stuff...There will be more posts to come!

By the way...keep an eye on your mail...baby announcements went out yesterday!

Hey! Wow she has a ton of hair!! So cute! Our first daughter had a ton of hair like that too. If you're into bows, start her early! Ainsley and Harper love wearing their bows and everyone always asks how I keep them in and it's because they've had them in as soon as they came out of me!:) Anyways, Bennett's heart defect is called AVSD- (Complete AV canal defet) Basically a hole in the heart. It is the most common heart defect among babies with DS. But the surgery success rate is near 100% but it always requires surgery- whereas Marley's will most likely close on it's own and your huband's is probably small enough that it does not affect him (I'm guessing) I wish that were the case but oh well, we'll get through it. Hope you have a nice Easter with your family!

My niece is absolutely precious! I can't believe I have to wait almost 2 more months to see her! I love all of the outfits! Having a girl is so much fun! It is truly like having a real life dress up doll (but that much better)! Glad to hear that everything is going well. I love the picture of Daddy time!
