Hmmm...now that's interesting...I don't know what's going on with my formatting. Sorry in advance. But, that's not what the post title is apologizing for. Again I have been lazy with my blogging...but in my defense I've been wanting to spend as much time with Marley as possible since I went back to work today and she went back to daycare. 'Tis the life of the working mommy.
Ok, so about a week or so after we moved, after Gigi and Granny left and after daddy had to go back to Fredericksburg to get the rest of mommy's sh*t, Marley and mommy embarked on an adventure to Williamsburg with continuation on to the Outer Banks for a week at the beach with Grandad, Fancy, GranChris, GranMasterMike, Uncle Christian, Aunt Natalie, cousin Evan and cousin Evan's Uncle MJ and Mimzy. It was a full house but a great week. Marley, Fancy, Grandad and Mommy got there a couple of days before everyone else and went to celebrate Denny Anderson's birthday (which isn't until August and this was June) with a party on Saturday night and a barbeque on Sunday. We had a fabulous time and Mommy got to catch up with some old friends and people that she used to work with way back when in Prince William County.
Mommy was a terrible picture taker while we were at the beach but here are a few...
GranChris and GranMasterMike brought Marley and Evan a bunch of goodies including fantastic, battery operated bubble blowers...they had a blast with these...
Marley had a blast with hers and still asks for it at home (when she sees it on the counter). Good thing they also brought a HUGE thing of bubbles that we got to take home!
We spent the week relaxing at the house, at the beach, by the pool and doing a little bit of shopping...I have a few pictures from GranChris that I need to scan and upload, and a couple from my phone from when we were actually at the beach that I need to email myself to load (I'm kinda anal about my cameras at the beach with sand) but here are a few from lounging around the house...
Cousin Evan
"Huh? Whadyousay?"
Cousins just hangin' out...could they be any more different?
I had to post this picture because the angle that it's taken makes Evan look like a completely different kid...I think...I have a couple of Marley like that too but not from this trip...
Busy Reading
"What's he got?"
Consumed by books
Like my new watch?
Then when Uncle Christian and Aunt Natalie were getting ready to leave a hurricane hit Houston (where there connecting flight was) so they ended up coming back to the house in Williamsburg for another night. We went and walked around CW (that's Colonial Williamsburg for those of you not in the know) and Uncle Christian and Aunt Natalie bought Marley and Evan these t-shirts and Grandad and Fancy bought the hats...they were just too cute but not entirely cooperative for the photo shoot.
This was the best shot of the bunch
Then we had a little role reversal
And Marley enjoyed dressing up Aunt Natalie...
...And Uncle Christian! (Sorry Chris...I had too...)
And in the spirit of Movie Monday (incorporated by Aunt Emily) I was going to post a video montage of Marley on the beach, mainly snippets that I caught on my phone, but alas, it's not happening so I leave you with this parting shot of Marley at the end of our vaca on the 4th of July...
More to come...eventually...
