Don't Be Mad!

Don't be mad (Aunt Chris)!  We've been super, super busy!  Let's see...I've had work, Marley turned 3, I went to Guatemala, I worked, we had a birthday party, I finished my classes, I worked, we went to Kaedan's Walk, I worked, we had Easter in Williamsburg, we had Spring Break at the beach, Granddad's Grand Opening of the new NIA labs, and I worked, worked, worked.  Did I mention I worked?  I have been swamped!  Not only is it IEP season but it's Assessment season as well so Marley and I have been spending some late afternoons at school, and I've been spending quite a few weekends as well.  May is only going to get worse so the blog neglect may very well continue.  Summer may bring more updates (notice I said may, I have learned not to make promises!  It only makes me feel bad when I don't follow through).

I plan to update a few pictures here now, and then backdate all of the important things, like Marley's birthday and Guatemala, in the future.  Who knows though when that will happen!  In the meantime...

Fancy and Graddad got Marley a bounce house for her birthday!

Opening gifts!  A radio from Aunt Natalie and Uncle Christian
And an interactive globe from GC and Uncle Mike! (She plays with it every morning while she eats breakfast and she knows where Guatemala is!)
We got her quite a few books for her birthday...this one was Disney Princesses Royal Cookbook (we have yet to try any recipes)

And she got a bike!  This was a serious steal...(forgive my jammies, this was the morning after I got home from Guatemala and I almost didn't get home.  As it was Brett had to drive to come get me up near DC the night before)

Marley's party was at the local bounce house place, Pump It Up.  The kids had a blast!  This was before they turned out the lights

And after...they all had to wear the glow necklaces so we could find them.

Slide shots are not flattering...but she was the birthday girl and she wanted me to go with her!
 Group shot
 Ready for cake
There was a bit of a princess theme as she's all about the dress up and Disney Princesses these days.  These crowns are the ones that you scratch with the stick to make designs.  She wasn't very creative with hers...
 Working on their crowns
Singing Happy Birthday...she was so funny!  She LOVED the attention
Her own cake...her friend Emma looks a little envious don't you think?
After presents...at least she shares her thrown
Kaedan's Walk Fundraiser for BRAAC
At Yankee Candle waiting for the Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny was on a break so we took some time to visit with Santa.  He checked for Marley's name in his book and it was there...and she was on the nice list!  He even gave her some extra checks for eating her vegetables, brushing her teeth, cleaning her room (uh-huh sure), and listening to Mommy and Daddy (yeah, right...)
I love Yankee Candle!  They're Awesome!
At the kite festival at the beach
Seriously?  Who taught this girl to pose?
I mean really...she needs to learn how to smile while showing her moves
 But she is a cutie!
And we rounded out Spring Break with Granddad's Grand Opening of the new NIA Labs.  We tried to get her to wear Granddad's lab coat but she only wanted the construction hat!
So hopefully that update was sufficient.  I realize I didn't post the Guatemala pics but there are 500+ to choose from and right now...I need to go to bed!
